APPLE MINT FROZEN DOG TREATS

With the weather warming up I thought it was time to whip up some frozen treats to help your pups stay cool throughout the day.

This recipe is made with green apples, mint and parsley. Green apples are a wonderful source of fiber, vitamins A and C. Mint is a great way to help keep your dogs breath fresh, it can soothe upset tummies and may even help repel fleas. Parsley has most of the same nutrients and benefits as green apples and mint, but it also contains Vitamin K, which has natural anti-inflammatory properties - making it a great superfood for dogs suffering from arthritis.

INGREDIENTS:

1 green apple cut into chucks

1/4 cup chopped mint

1/4 chopped parsley

1/4 cup coconut water or plain water

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use a blender and make all the ingredients together - blend until smooth (if need you can always add a little more water)

2. Evenly divide the mixture into an ice cube tray or silicone tray

3. Freeze for about 2 hours before serving. Makes about 8 - 10 frozen treats.

High Paws and Frozen Treats,
